annual dinner performance

on the 30th december 2009, i landed another show for Nerelco Engineering annual dinner. i am very satisfied with my performance. all the audience are being entertained to the fullest. the only obstacle i faced is i have to fight with my sickness, which the night before my performance, i actually had a fever, but i still do my very best on that night. it was indeed a very fun experience. everyone fully enjoy themselves. so am i

wedding performance

it has been quite sometime since my last post. this very post is something regarding a recent wedding performance which i am the close up magician of the night in Equitorial hotel. it was an awesome experience for me. although i can't really cover all 44 tables within 3 hours, i already did my very best to cover around 80%. i love the performance. really. it was a great one for me.

i actually did quite a lot of tricks on that very night including my own creation, SE digital mirror. this is the 1st time i show my creation to the audience and yes, they like it...... a lot. when i perform, people will ask me, 'you learn from david blaine?' this is the most common question i heard. also, before my performance, one of the audience told me that he just watch breaking the magician's code recently and he is trying to break mine. there is no problem for me as i am a sleight of hand artist. i can tell them the secret is in my hand and yet, they will experience the magic moment like everyone did on that very night. some people approach me to ask me if i could teach or have any lesson for magic course and actually, yes, i did plan this half year ago. i will write a more details of the course in my future blog. any further enquiry can inform me via email, jasonffx@yahoo.com

performing to my cousins

today my cousins request me to perform some magic to them. and yes, i show them some of my skills in magic which they seems to enjoy. the feeling is totally difference from my previous performance. because i know they are my cousin and they will be more 'friendly' when i perform, i was quite nervous..... my hand is trembling because i have this feeling...... scare of doing something wrong. when i perform to stranger, i have full confident because i know i will only meet them once or maybe twice and even if i do something wrong, they might not meet me again. But when i perform to someone who know me, i feel like if i do something wrong, then it will be quite embarrass because they will see me again. this type of feeling always hunt me when i perform to someone i know...... i know this will happen to me again and i need to get over these as soon as possible with more and more performance. YES!!!!!! i can definately do it!!!

brief intro to card flourish

introduction to card flourish:

flourish is a beautiful art. card flourish is manipulate cards in a fancy way. it is difficult for a laymen to understand a visually complicated flourish. the more they see it, the more they will appreciate it. a flourisher can consider as a magician but a magician is not a flourisher. the above images show some of card flourish
